Pinning CBL Memories In Web3 Maps

One of the new web3, decentralized mapping platforms is Metablox. We bought the land plot in this platform which conforms to Integrity Park.

This was the second home field for the Lewisville Lizards which played in the 2007 inaugural season of the Continental Baseball League. These web3 maps allow ownership of the land plot (in that specific platform) and also allows the ability to upload (“pin”) images & specific memories with specific dates to that land plot. It basically becomes an online museum where the land plot owner is the “museum curator” of memories tied to that location.

Here is the link to the land plot:

There are two images pinned so far:

  • The Lizards logo
  • An image of some of the Lizards’ bullpen roster taken in Argyle, Texas (Integrity Park). The specific memory was from July 20, 2007

Here is a link to the specific memory, which is contained inside the web3 land plot:

Over time, more memories will be added. This web3 platform also permits the uploading of the images/memories to the more permanent blockchain, using IPFS uploads. As more memories get added and credits earned within the platform then some of the memories will get pinned to the blockchain in order to give higher odds of the memories staying pinned to the specific geographic location.

Should this be valuable to some CBL alumni and fans, then we can add more memories to other CBL locations such as the league office, stadiums, and exhibition game locations.
